Frosty Blue Paisley Block-Print Quilt

This beautiful quilt is artfully block printed with a paisley inspired floral design in frosty blue on a white background on one side and a stripe pattern on the reverse, using traditional Indian block-printing techniques. 

Printing blocks are hand carved from teak wood. Taking roughly two days to hand carve. These hand carved blocks will wear out after about 800 metres of printing. The artist will tediously stamp the printing block almost 500 times to finish only 1.5 metres of fabric. It can take up to 30 printing blocks to create a single quilt or tablecloth design.

The quilts are made and filled with 100% Indian Cotton for natural breathability, durability and comfort. Cotton is known for regulating body temperature by wicking away moisture and allowing airflow, making it ideal for year-round use and creating a healthy sleeping environment.
